Microneedling Treatments Collagen Induction Therapy
Microneedling is a new innovation in aesthetic medicine for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of the skin's overall appearance. During this procedure tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin for firmer younger looking skin.
The skin's repair process results in a reduction of the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Since micro-needling enhances the production of collagen the treatment can reverse the signs of sun damage, improve the appearance of acne scars, stretch marks and hyper and hypo-pigmentation. An overall healthier appearance of the skin will occur. It can be used on all parts of the body: face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.

Immediately after the treatment you will notice a bright redness to the skin with some swelling and potential bruising. On average, patients will have redness for 2-4 days. Some patients may have the redness dissipate within 24 hours. Direct sun must be avoided for 24-48 hours. A calming skincare kit will be included for use with your first treatment. No retinol, exfoliating products, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid or topical Vitamin C products should be used for 3 days after the treatment. No makeup should be used for 24 hours. Your skin may feel dryer and tighter after the procedure. A Hylaronic Acid product is ideal to hydrate and balance skin after treatment. A physical SPF should be used right after and for the following 5 days to avoid sun damage.

This is a treatment that can be used on all skin types and can be used to treat acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines and wrinkles. This is not advised for pregnant women, those with sunburns or active acne areas.

Patients may notice healthier looking skin right away. However, keep in mind that dermal collagen remodeling occurs over time and most people will see results anywhere from 3-12 months after the procedure.We suggest a series of 3-6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart. For clients with deep wrings or scars 6-8 sessions are recommended.
